Christina and Matthew got married at the Ridges Resort at Lake Chatuge in April of 2019. The forecast looked promising earlier in the week, however a wet cold front moved in at the start of the weekend and caused them to need to change their plans for the big day… No one likes making last minute changes in regards to a wedding, however Christina and Matthew took it in stride. We were able to find a quick break in the rain to do photos outside prior to the ceremony for both sides of the wedding party… The wonderful thing about working in wet conditions outdoors, is that it tends to saturate the colors even more outside... Greens become more vibrant and flowers look so much bolder in photos. After their indoor ceremony, we walked next door for the reception since the rain had started again. Before long, the dance floor was crowded with guests and all thoughts of the weather were long behind. Once the rain subsided, we went outside again to finish their photos together and to create some cool ‘nighttime shots’… After another hour of dancing and the bouquet and garter toss, they were ready for the sparkler exit. One of their guests brought some specialty firework/ sparklers for their exit too. It made for one of the more spectacular exits I’ve seen as sparks and smoke flew everywhere as they shared one last kiss for the camera.
