Kate and Roee got married at Park Tavern in summer of 2019. The day started with the bridal party getting ready off-site at the hotel while I worked on details and photos of the final bit of hair and makeup. After all hair and makeup was completed, we drove over to Park Tavern so that the bridal party could get dressed. While the ladies were working on getting into their dresses, I worked with Roee and his groomsmen around the property. Park Tavern is one of those cool hidden gems in the city. It, along with the Piedmont Room are found on the Southeast corner of Piedmont Park. Since it is found at the corner of Piedmont Park, we have quite a few opportunities to get some uniquely ‘Atlanta’ shots that we can’t get at many other wedding venues. Their wedding ceremony was a blended ceremony that included both Christian and Jewish traditions. Both friends and family played different roles throughout the ceremony process for the couple. After the ‘I do’ and kiss, the ceremony ended with the breaking of the glass! We worked on some additional photos of the wedding party and the couple during the cocktail hour and quickly got ready for the first dance… Their reception included speeches, cake, dancing, and the hora! Their reception lasted well into the night and they never planned for a formal exit, so the rest of the night was full of friends having a great time. Just before my coverage ended, we were able to quickly sneak out for a beautiful shot with the two of the them with the Atlanta skyline after dark.
