Caitlin and Joseph got married at Willow Creek Falls in Dahlongeha Georgia in 2018. Willow Creek is a beautiful venue with so many opportunities for awesome photos… We started with detail shots before working with the bridal party getting ready with the final touches of hair and makeup. Everyone went outside to pop a bottle of champagne, however the bottle didn’t want to pop… It made for an incredibly funny series of photos with all of the bridesmaids getting more and more anxious every time they counted down without the cork letting loose of the bottle… Needless to say, everyone was laughing by the time the top popped off. The girls toasted and then got dressed to prepare for photos. Before we started the formal photos, Caitlin’s dad wanted to see her in her dress for the first time… His reaction was priceless. We finished all of the photos of the bridal party around the property and then switched out for Joseph and the groomsmen. The guys were fun to work with and before you knew it, it was time for the ceremony to start. Willow Creek is known for its beautiful willow tree overlooking the pond at the ceremony site. It made for the perfect backdrop for the perfect wedding. Once the rings were exchanged and the ceremony was sealed with a kiss, we then worked on the remainder of family photos, wedding party photos, and finally photos of just Caitlin and Joseph together. The reception started with first dances and dinner was served. Near the end of dinner, toasts were made and the cake was cut. The dance floor soon opened up for everyone and everybody was having a great time… We snuck out quickly for one more amazing photo by the willow tree and night before the garter and bouquet toss… The dance floor filled one last time as everyone came out to enjoy the last dance… Caitlin and Joseph opted to have an unorthodox exit… Instead of going through the lines like most other weddings, they opted to send up some lanterns into the cool night air to signify the end of the reception. It took a little bit of time for the lanterns to catch, however it was magical getting to watch the lanterns slowly drift off into the night sky…
