Hilary and Corey got married at Flint Hill in March of 2017. Flint Hill is a beautiful antebellum-style plantation home located in Norcross, GA that has been repurposed as a wedding venue. We started with the hair and makeup photos of the bridal party in their hotel room. I was really excited to see that one of Hilary's bridesmaids was one of my brides from the previous year. I love working with familiar faces. As soon as hair and makeup was completed, we drove over to Flint Hill and immediately started with the dress shots before the groomsmen arrived. Once Corey and the rest of the groomsmen arrived, we worked on their photos in front of the house. After those photos were finished, I set Hilary up in one of the side gardens for a first look with her dad and later with Corey. I loved seeing both of the guys reactions upon seeing Hilary there in her dress. To say the least, she was stunning. We were able to finish the rest of the wedding party photos prior to the start of the wedding ceremony. Just before the ceremony, Corey and Hilary went upstairs with family to sign the Ketubah with the Rabi. As soon as the signing was completed, Hilary's veil was placed and everyone got ready for the wedding.

One thing that I loved about their wedding was that the Rabi asked for all guest to take as many photos as they liked in the first few moments of the ceremony and then to later put away their phones and cameras to be 'present' during the wedding. I loved that Corey and Hilary played it up for the sea of cameras before everything turned serious. It also makes my job a little bit easier too since I don't have to worry about the overly-enthusiastic guest inadvertently jumping in front of my camera to get their shot. Sun set during the ceremony, so the courtyard was only lit by the series of string-lights that are set up at Flint Hill. It gave a nice warm glow in the night. Since it was already dark, we did a couple of night-portraits before going back inside for the first dances. I love the different traditions that I get to witness during the wedding day, but nothing is more fun to photograph than the Hora...The energy and excitement in the room during the dance is incredible. After the Hora, the dance floor opened up and their friends and family didn't disappoint. Everyone came to have fun. It seemed like the night was over in the blink of an eye. Everyone lined up to the side of the house with sparklers to send them off in style!
