The Tate House is one of my favorite venues in North Georgia. It is a antebellum-style mansion made out of pink marble out in the middle of nowhere. You look across the road from the house and you don't see other business or houses... You will see pastures, cows, and mountains. Because of this, the Tate House is one of the easiest locations to photograph since there are beautiful locations for photos anywhere on the property and from any angle. Todd and Genine got married at the Tate house in September of 2016 and their wedding was perfect. We started photos in the bridal suite with Genine finishing up the final touches on her hair and makeup prior to getting into her dress. After she was dressed, we did the bridal photos in front of the house and then transitioned to the first-look. We finished all of the pre-ceremony formals and got ready for the actual wedding ceremony. The Tate house is one of those venues that has excellent settings for the ceremony both indoors and outdoors. Luckily the weather was perfect for their wedding they decided to hold the wedding outdoors in the courtyard. We finished up the last few formals after the ceremony and moved on to the reception for the first dance. The reception had everything: fun guests, loving family, cake, music, and the garter/bouquet toss... We even went outside to create a few special night-time portraits for their wedding during the reception. Once the night was coming to an end, everyone lined up to the side of the Tate House with sparklers in hand. Todd and Genine ran through the rows for friends before sharing one more kiss and driving away for the night.
