Bonnie & Jacob

Bonnie and Jacob got married at In the Woods in Fall of 2019… In the Woods is a wedding venue located just outside of Rockmart GA in the middle of nowhere. It is huge and involves multiple shuttles to travel from the bridal suite, groom’s cottage, chapel area, docks, or reception area… It is one of those places that extra time is always helpful to have so that you can fully utilize the different opportunities across the entire venue. We started at the front of the property with the guys getting ready… There, Jacob and his groomsmen where running into issues with how to tie a bowtie. I’ve seen quite a few groomsmen parties watching the ‘elephant ear’ instructional Youtube video quite a few times over the years. After working with the guys, I traveled to the bridal cottage to get the bridal details and photograph Bonnie getting ready. Once she was dressed, we did the first look with the two of them on the dock before transitioning to the photos of the entire wedding party. Guests started arriving early, so we saved the remaining part of the wedding party photos for after the wedding ceremony. The ceremony was awesome with Bonnie being escorted down the aisle by two of her father’s best friends. I love how the fall colors across the lake were so vibrant in the late afternoon sun. They opted to have their first kiss captured from the minister side and then they were officially married. We did a couple of additional photos after the wedding while guests where shuttled to the reception. The reception started with the first dance and transitioned to the parent dances where again, close friends of Bonnie’s father took turns dancing with her. After the cake was cut, the dance floor filled up and everyone had a blast… The night ended with the sparkler sendoff to signify the perfect end to a perfect day.
