Katie and Jake got married at the Corner District in November of 2017. The Corner District is a industrial-style wedding venue located in Ball Ground, GA. We started the day off with detail shots around the venue before going next door to the bridal suite so that Katie could get dressed. Her bridesmaids hadn't seen her in her dress, so there was a big reveal for everyone when she came out from the dressing room. We worked on photos of the bridal party and the groom before getting ready for the first look. Like everyone else, Jake was so excited to see Katie in her dress. We did some photos around downtown Ball Ground and even included some of the local train tracks that ran through town. We were able to do the full wedding party photos around and behind the venue to get everything taken care of prior to the wedding.

Even though he had already seen her, Jake was still beaming with a smile when he saw Katie walk in with her father. The ceremony was quick and everyone exited out of the space for the cocktail hour and family photos. Since sun set during the ceremony, we did a couple of night portraits just before going inside for the reception. After dinner, the couple cut the cake and both of the dads had speeches to give. After the toasts, everyone went back downstairs for the dance floor. The dancing started off with the first dance for Katie and Jake before transitioning to the parent dances. Since Katie's father was in a wheelchair, the first part of the song was danced with him and later other father-figures spent time with her on the dance floor. After the traditional dances everyone joined the couple on the dance floor. Later, they did the garter and bouquet toss prior to their exit in an old Chevrolet. They shared one last kiss in the car before leaving out in the night...
