Whitney and Jake got married at Ramble Creek Vineyard in Athens, TN in September of 2019. I knew that I was going to enjoy their wedding when we had our first chance to work together for their engagement session months earlier… The wedding day started with lots of details (Whitney makes personalized invitations… check her out at Invitations by Whitney) and getting ready photos. Once everyone was ready, I setup Jake for the first look. Ramble Creek is a beautiful venue located in the eastern portion of Tennessee. Since it was in a relatively remote area, we had tons of opportunities for photos in every direction. For the first look, we decided to have it on the covered bride (to allow for some much-needed shade for the couple). After working on couple photos outside, we retreated inside for additional photos since it was a rather warm day. Once it was time for the ceremony, everyone lined up outside for the big event… The late afternoon sun beamed down on the happy couple and before long, they were officially husband and wife! After the ceremony, we did some additional photos outside since the sun had finally lowered behind the trees (offering some cooler temperatures). The reception started with dances and quickly transitioned into a full-blown party… We were able to sneak out for a couple of additional night time portraits. The party ended on a high note with their last dance and then the sparkler exit.
