Kristen and John got married at Ray’s United Methodist Church located near Bishop Georgia in October of 2019. We started photos of the bridal party getting ready in the back room of the church before taking them outside for a couple of group photos. After John was ready, we did a special ‘first look’ of sorts with the two of them getting a chance to talk to each other and exchange notes before the wedding without John actually seeing her. After working with the guys, it was time for the wedding ceremony. I loved watching their two reactions when they actually saw each other for the first time while walking down the aisle. The ceremony was short and sweet and afterwards we worked on family photos and additional photos of the couple while the second shooter worked on the reception hall setup. The reception was held at the Morgan County Cultural Center. I’m familiar with the Cultural Center because I’ve photographed a couple of weddings there over the years and (and it as the location for my senior Prom in high school) … Their reception stared with the cake cutting and transitioned to the first dance while a painter worked on a portrait of the two of them together. After the parent dances, the dance floor was opened to everyone and we did a couple of additional photos of the full wedding party before their bubble exit…
