Ally & Jonathan

Ally and Jonathan’s wedding was at the Carter Center in Atlanta Georgia. I’ve drove by the Carter Center off of Freedom Parkway dozens of times, however this was my first trip inside the facility… It was beautiful. There are is a huge auditorium room (where the ceremony was held) with floor to ceiling windows… There are beautiful gardens with a pond, streams, fountains, and plenty of interesting architecture and plants for great photo opportunities. And finally, there was a beautiful reception room with views overlooking the gardens… Needless to say, it was an easy venue to work at. We started with photos of the bridal party finishing up on the last bit of hair and makeup before checking on Jonathan and getting him setup for the first look. There were so many opportunities for great photos at the Carter Center, however we finally settled on doing the first look in the gardens for some additional privacy for the couple. Before going to see her future husband, Ally went into the chapel space to see her dad for the first time on her wedding day… It made for a touching moment. We did the first look with Jonathan and Ally near the pond and then spent a few minutes with the two of them exploring the space behind the Center… There were so many photo opportunities… The full wedding party came out and we were able to get a great selection of formal photos prior to the start of the ceremony. The ceremony started and you could just feel the emotions in the room. After the ceremony we opted to do some more photos of the wedding party since there were so many amazing locations for photos. We finished up with photos of Ally and Jonathan around the Carter Center and transitioned to the reception… The reception was full of laughter and dancing with everyone taking some time out on the dance floor. We snuck outside for a few minutes to do some additional photos of Ally and Jonathan at night with the city skyline in the background… Definitely a unique opportunity. After more dancing, it was time for the sparkler sendoff. They shared one last kiss for the camera and loaded into their getaway car to drive off into the night…
