Ashley and Josh got married at Hightower Falls in November of 2017. Hightower Falls is known for its beautiful waterfall and grist mill at the ceremony site. I don't think that they could have picked a more perfect day for their wedding... The weather was perfect, the falls were gorgeous, and we had peak fall color. Hightower falls is located in the middle of nowhere in Cedartown, Ga. Like other remote venue locations, the scenery around the place as stunning... I could photograph in any direction and capture a beautiful backdrop.
Ashley got ready in the bridal suite, while Josh and his groomsman got ready across the property in their cabin. We started off with the detail shots before traveling over to see Josh open his gift from his future bride... After Ashley and her family finished getting ready, we took a golf cart to the waterfalls for some quick portraits. As soon as we finished the bridal portraits, I switched out Ashley for Josh for his photos prior to the wedding. Before you knew it, it was time for the ceremony... Josh escorted his mom in and got ready by the minister. Once the music started you could see Ashley and her mom walking across the bridge and making their way to the ceremony. Josh had to fight back tears when he finally saw Ashley coming down the aisle. I loved the look and gentle sound of the cascading waterfall during the ceremony. They did a quick sand ceremony before sharing their first kiss as husband and wife. After the ceremony, we worked on a few photos of the couple together around the waterfall and the mill. They came into the reception to loud cheers as they quickly transitioned to their first dance. As soon as their dance was over, the dance floor opened for everybody. They cut the cake and did the garter and bouquet toss to signal that the night was coming to an end. We were even able to sneak away for a few quick minutes to get some magical photos near the stream and at the Mill. Everyone cheered and cheered for their sparkler exit as they headed off for their honeymoon.
